The Association of Sommocolonia

The Association of Sommocolonia headquartered in Sommocolonia, Barga (LU) Via della Resistenza 11; is not for profit, and which has the purpose of promoting all recreational, cultural, and sports aimed at all age groups in order to encourage popular participation in civil and social commitment.
It has its own Statute annex A when 16717/3897.
The Association of Sommocolonia among other purposes, also has the task statuary management and enhancement of the historical material in the Museum and the promotion and enhancement of the history of Sommocolonia, especially in relation to the tragic battle of 26 December 1944 with the counteroffensive Germany, which produced more than 100 deaths and the destruction of the country.
All this is remembered by relics that can be admired in the small but well-kept museum, which is located in Sommocolonia. The exhibition is open every day.
